Former world time trial champion Laurent Jalabert is flying through the ride. Through 30 miles he’s passed 500 people! His bike split will be closer to 4:30 than 4:45.
Leading the men is Chris Lieto (#9). While Sindballe has made his move, the rest of the contenders are staying close together.

Belinda Granger is trying to break things up in the group that’s chasing Leanda Cave and Dede Griesbauer. She’s pushing a big gear as she tries to pull away from the other women. Leanda Cave’s lead is 1:54 over Dede Griesbauer through 59 miles of the ride.
Desiree Ficker is in a second pack about five minutes behind the lead women.
