Recently I had a chance to talk with running legend Frank Shorter. Shorter’s running career included gold and silver medals in the marathon at the Olympic Games (1972 and 1976 respectively). He also won the US National Cross-country championships four times and was the US 10,000 meter champion four times.

Sally Meyerhoff set out to qualify for the US Olympic Marathon Trials in her debut marathon at PF Chang’s Arizona. Read a pre-race interview with Sally by clicking here. Sally ran well and secured an entry into the trials with her 2:42:45 run through Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe.

Sally Meyerhoff is one of new generation of young runners.
