This just in: the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon will be available live and on-demand over the Internet this weekend, as well as televised live on TV and radio in the local Chicago area.
Race coverage will be broadcast live on both television and radio in the Chicago area. There will also be a highlights show later in the day for those who will be out on the course running or spectating the event.
Internet – the race will be aired live on the WCSN (World Champion Sports Network) over the Internet. The broadcast will also be available on-demand after the event. The coverage is available from www.wcsn.com. Coverage starts live at 8:30AM EST (7:30AM CST).
A subcription to WCSN is required to view the event. The cost of a one month subscription is $4.95. Yearly subscriptions are also available. If you bought a subscription to watch last week’s Berlin Marathon, you’re all set.
Television– CBS2 Chicago will carry all the race action live for the Chicago television viewing audience. For those who are out on the course during the race, CBS will air a 30-minute highlight show recapping the day’s excitement beginning at 10:35 p.m. Central
– TV Live race broadcast: 7:30 – 11:00 a.m. CST
– TV Highlight Show: 10:35 p.m. CST
Radio – On race day, “The Score” Sportsradio 670 AM will bring carry the race live. Tune into 670 AM on October 7 to during the race for this broadcast.
