Races: ING New York City Marathon & US Olympic Marathon Trials Television and Internet Coverage

The two biggest events of the season are coming up this weekend! On Saturday, November 3rd, it’s the US Olympic Men’s Marathon Trials. Then on Sunday it’s the ING New York City Marathon. Both events will be held in New York City, on two different courses.

For those of you outside of the New York City area, the best choices for live coverage will be on the Internet. Live internet streaming of the US Olympic Trials will be free on the Internet. There is a $4.95 charge to watch the live coverage of the ING New York City Marathon live on Sunday. A post-race highlight show of the ING New York City Marathon will be broadcast on the afternoon of the show.

If you live in New York City, complete television coverage of the ING New York City Marathon will be provided by the local NBC affiliate in High-Definition.

Internet Streaming
In the United States: On Saturday, November 3rd, it’s the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Men’s Marathon. And on Sunday, November 4th, it’s the ING New York City Marathon. Catch both races live, only NBCSports.com/Marathon!

Coverage for the Olympic Trials Men’s Marathon begins November 3rd at at 7:30 a.m. EST. Saturday’s race will be broadcast for FREE.

Coverage for the ING New York City Marathon begins November 4th at 9:30 a.m. EST. Sunday’s race is available live online for only $4.99.

Both races are available in the US on NBCSports.com/Marathon.

Outside of the United States: Watch the ING New York City Marathon live on the Internet at WCSN.com for just $4.95 (U.S.). Viewers will get the entire race broadcast from 9:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. EST and a full one month subscription to all WCSN.com live and on-demand programming for the same low price.

Television
In the United States: NBC Sports will broadcast a one-hour highlight show nationwide beginning at 3:00 p.m. EST on November 4; check your local listings for details. In New York City, the program will appear on Channel 4.

Around the World: A one-hour highlights show will be broadcast in nearly 125 countries worldwide. Check your local listings for details.

In New York: The race will be broadcast live exclusively on NBC 4HD (WNBC / Channel 4) for five hours. Telemundo 47 will have live cut-ins during the race as well as segments leading up to the marathon. The NBC 4HD broadcast will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the pre-race warm-up and will follow the race through the five boroughs, across the bridges, and over the finish line until 2:00 p.m. WNBC’s Today in New York will also dedicate their complete broadcast, from 6:00 – 8:00 a.m., to the ING New York City Marathon.
