Hood to Coast: Looking for two fast lady runners

Here at Running Advice and News were getting ready for the Hood to Coast Relay coming up on August 22nd and 23rd near Portland, Oregon. This is one of the most exciting running events in the world with over 12,000 runners on 1,000 teams making their way 197 miles from Mt. Hood to the Pacific Ocean at Seaside.

Our Running Advice and News Team is a co-ed team with six male and six female runners. In the last couple of weeks we have lost two of our female runners and are looking to fill these two spots.

We are looking for two female runners that are on the quick to fast side of the running spectrum. While we are not an elite team, we have some excellent runners and would like to be competitive in the race.

If you are interested in joining our team, please post a comment on this page. You should be able to comfortably run 12-15 miles as your weekend long runs and should be able to run a 10K race at 7:45/mile or better.

To participate in the race, you must be able to get yourself to Portland and you would be expected to pay a share of the van expenses, but I will cover your race entry ($95) if you are selected to run with us.

Post a comment on this page with your contact information and an estimate of your 10K road racing time and I will contact you.
